Applying for Membership
Applications for volunteer membership to the Quakertown Fire Company are always open. The first step is to fill out an application for the membership category which best suits your needs. Active membership applications are submitted virtually, while associate and junior membership applications must be printed, completed, and submitted in person at our headquarters on 67 Quakertown Road. Completed applications are accepted seven days a week between 8am and 6pm, or on Monday nights between 7pm and 10pm. After an application has been completed and received, an interview will be conducted with our membership committee at a time convenient to each applicant. Successful candidates will receive a physical evaluation free of charge through our contracted healthcare provider. An orientation and onboarding period will follow, and candidates will be provided with the proper uniforms, equipment, and training necessary.
Active members of the Quakertown Fire Company respond to emergencies in our community and surrounding areas. Active members require no prior experience or certifications, and will be provided with training and equipment free of charge. Those interested in responding to fires, emergency medical incidents, vehicle accidents, technical rescues, and other emergencies are encouraged to apply as an active member.
Associate members of the Quakertown Fire Company assist with furthering the mission and goals of the Company through non-operational means. Whether in fundraising, administration, public relations or other specialty roles, associate members are vital to our organization's success. Those interested in supporting the Quakertown Fire Company, but not in responding to emergency calls, are encouraged to apply as an associate member.
Associate Membership Application
Junior members of the Quakertown Fire Company are between fourteen and eighteen years of age. Junior members require no training or certification to join, and are provided with training and equipment free of charge. Those who are fourteen years or age or older and are interested in learning about emergency services, and responding to fire, emergency medical, vehicle accidents and technical rescue incidents, or in fundraising, administration and support roles are encouraged to apply as an associate member.
