Community members, civic leaders, mutual-aid partners and members of QFC gathered on Feb 6th at Razberries to kick-off our 59th year of service to central Hunterdon County.  Despite the day's snowstorm, over 125 people attended the event.  Here is a breakdown on those receiving mention.

Honorary Life Membership was presented to Mrs Mildred Fritz and her late husband the Honorable Judge John Fritz for their contributions to the community.

Special Awards were presented to the Youngs, Eneas and Donald Gordon for their support of the Quakertown Fire Company and QFC EMS in 2009.

25 years of service awards were present to Capt Chip Milcarek and FF Peter Enea, Jr.

30 years of service award was presented to FF/CFR/Trustee George Reichert.

35 years of service award was presented to FF/EMT John McPherson.

Firefighter of the Year Award was presented to FF/CFR/Treasured Kevin Haggerty.

The company responded to 431 fire and EMS calls in 2009 and 26 volunteers achieved the 100 club by responding to at least a 100 calls for service.
