Thursday, February 4, 2010 - The month of January was quite busy for the volunteers of Quakertown Fire-Rescue. The company was dispatched to 37 calls for service of which all were handled by the 100% volunteer staff.. Of those 37 calls, 27 were fire-related and 10 were medical-related of which were handled by the QRU or the ambulance. Average arrival times to the medical calls in the township was 5:40. February is already shaping to be a busy month with 8 calls in the first 4 days.
